This is the famous work entitled "A Pair of Shoes" by Vincent van Gogh, a Dutch painter, painted in 1886. Presently, it is housed in the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, Netherlands.

This still life represents a pair of worn-out work boots. Done during Van Gogh's Paris period, this is a manifestation of his interest in the most ordinary things and the lives of the common laborer. The painting is dominated by dark hues with thick, powerful brushstrokes-an evidence of Van Gogh's special style.
